Hi loves! I am so sorry for really slacking lately on this. I love this blog but I never use it anymore so I need to get back into the habit! Today's blog is going to be short but it is going to be about self-care!!!!!
So, self-care for most people means an expensive face mask, a good workout, some ice cream, or anything that makes you feel good. I was listening to this podcast (Call her Daddy, it's AMAZINGGGGGG go listen!), and she has this guest speaker on who talks about being burnt out on life. She got into detail about how people think that one night of self-care or pampering will help you get back in tune with yourself and feel connected to your body again. IDK about you but nothing I have ever done one time has completely fixed a problem I was dealing with. It takes work, time, and dedication but not just once, it's every day. I have started romanticizing my life by doing small acts of self-care every day, even if it is just a workout, Starbucks (I get Starbucks WAY too much but if you love me you should send me Starbucks gift cards ;) ), or even time to just sit there and be still and present.
I have noticed that there are so many ways to show yourself love and kindness every day and when you start taking the time to do so, you feel a lot better when it comes to self-connection or just self-care in general. Getting burned out is normal, especially when your life is repetitive or just way too stressful, but those moments of self-care will make a HUGE impact once you get into the habit of it. I try to do something small every day, and it has gotten to the point where I don't even realize I am doing it anymore.
Anyways, try a little something for yourself today, tomorrow, and the day after. Do it until it becomes a habit because you DESERVE to feel loved by yourself all day every day.
