Hi loves! Sorry I have been inactive the past few days, my boyfriend came up for the weekend and I had lots of work so I was pretty busy. I hope all of you had a blessed week and found joy in something new!
For this week, I want to write about the cover picture for this blog. It says, "You are not fat. You have fat. You also have fingernails but you are not fingernails.". It sounds quite silly but if you think about it, it can help change your mindset to a more positive one. I have fat, everyone has fat. It is proven that women have more fat than men naturally so that they can carry a child someday. I know that sounds crazy but it's true! On average, women carry 6%-11% more body fat than men. Back to what I was saying, women naturally have more. No matter how much you workout, you will have fat. It's natural but it is so hated, but why? Why is something so natural and so gross to some people? I know I am someone who will pick at my fat and feel gross if I see it but I have been working on changing my mindset to avoid doing that. This process is mainly about mindset because your mindset can depict how you look at your body.
Just because you have fat, doesn't mean you are fat. I have fat, doesn't mean I'm fat, same with you. Fat is ok, fat is healthy, and fat is natural. Everyone has it so don't feel alone or feel like people see it the way you do. One way I help myself with my stomach, for example, is don't look at it. The more I checked on my stomach, the worse I felt because I used to see my stomach as a flaw, and I still do. I don't look at my stomach in the mirror because I just tear myself apart for even the smallest amount of fat anywhere on it. So I recommend, don't look. You can live without hyper-focusing on your stomach, I promise.
